Death
If you would like to discuss arrangements for a funeral at St Paul’s Church or at the Crematorium but with a minister from St Paul’s then please ring our Administrator 01934 613259.
Death, even when expected, is somehow always unexpected. The pain of parting can seem almost unbearable. The time between someone’s death and their funeral service seems very short and is full of telephone calls, visits to doctors and solicitors and all sorts of practical arrangements. And as the day of the funeral service draws close the sense of foreboding and dread can become very oppressive. There is a risk that in the midst of the busyness and the emotional turmoil of such a time we miss an important spiritual moment and also don’t allow ourselves to grieve properly - which can cause all sorts of problems later.
If you would like to talk to someone or would like someone to pray with you now or in the future - grief has an awkward way of coming round in cycles - then please call the pastor of the church,Paddy Beresford, on 01934 420839 and he will arrange for one of the pastoral care team to see you.
