Life is marked by key moments of transition - what we have called `Life Movements’. Life Movements are events which change everything for us and for those with whom we are in relationship or who witness these events. All of these events – with the exception of rebirth – are experiences common to all people at all times of history and in all places of the world. 

The two most fundamental movements for us are birth and death. These are both intensely spiritual movements. Somehow in all the mess of the birth of a baby or in the trauma of death we seem to draw very close to something much bigger than ourselves; something much more powerful, more wonderful, more lovely and more terrifying. Something - in fact Someone - who Christians call `God’. 

Because these movements are so significantly spiritual we mark them in our community with celebration or sadness - and sometimes with both. We also prepare for them carefully, taking time to make sure that we can see where God is, hear His voice and feel His hand as we go through these movements. We want to help you in this and offer support at every stage. 

As well as marking these two movements we also mark marriage - the time when two individuals make remarkable promises to one another. On the surface the promises that we make in marriage are foolish because they are simply impossible to keep. But something in human beings - or perhaps outside us, or maybe both - keeps calling us to perfection, to an experience of love with another that is so profound that we will never be the same again. For this reason we offer marriage preparation and support and counsel in difficult times.
