Your generosity is changing lives.

Why give?

Generosity is part of Christian discipleship and we are very grateful to the members of our congregations who are generous in their giving! These donations help us grow and serve both the St Paul’s community and the wider community.

So if you consider yourself to be a part of St Paul’s, and you wish to either start or increase your regular giving, this can be done in the following ways:

  • The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is our preferred method for making donations to St Paul’s. Follow the links to easily set up online a regular monthly/quarterly/annual donation from your bank account or a one off occasional donation using your credit or debit card, Apple/Google pay.

If you would prefer to arrange this by telephone, you can call PGS on a dedicated number 0333 002 1271, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm and you will need your bank details and quote our parish code: 010601343 to set this up.

If you would like any further information on how the Parish Giving Scheme works go to www.parishgiving.org.uk

  • Some employers will match your giving to charities. Give as You Earn is often administered by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) or Charities Trust. The below information should be all the information your employer needs to get you set up.

    Name: St Paul’s PCC Weston-super-Mare

    Registered Charity No. 1132828

  • You can create a legacy of lasting transformation. Please consider giving to St Paul’s Church when you make or change your will.

You can request a free information pack, please visit www.churchlegacy.org.uk or call the Church Legacy and Wills Information Line on 08445 870875

You can also discuss gifts in wills with the Treasurer or Vicar.

‘We advise you to see a solicitor when writing or amending your will.

The suggested wording you should use is as follows:

I give the sum of £____(_________pounds only) free of all taxes to the Parochial Church Council of the parish of St Paul’s Weston super Mare (Registered charity number 1132828) in the Diocese of Bath and Wells for its general purposes, and I declare that that the receipt of an officer of the Parochial Church Council shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.’’

  • There are many ways to help in non-financial ways and we rely on our talented and generous church family to help with everything from running groups to doing the gardening.

For every £10 given to St Paul’s…

  1. £5 goes towards all our ministries and staff salaries, including the Community Fund and the money sent to the Diocese to pay clergy.

  2. £2.20 goes to the Diocese to resource other ministries in our area. This money is enough to fund 2.3 clergy posts elsewhere.

  3. £1.70 goes towards building and support systems.

  4. £1.10 goes towards our global mission budget, supporting key charities and mission partners.
